Honeybees and other beneficial insects require a water source that allows them to sip at the water's edge. Keeping the petals of the central dogwood flower dipping below the water level allows them to land and drink without falling in. The threaded base on the underside of the bowl attaches to the sturdy three-footed wrought iron Tripod Stand, a perfect choice for a small rock garden, low border planting, or intimate bird-watching on a tabletop or ledge.

Protective Coating Notice
All of our birdbaths are treated with a clear external protective coating. This barrier prevents standing water from coming into contact with the raw metals. Outdoor elements, UV rays, and regular cleaning will naturally wear down the protective layer over time. Reapplication of a clear, non-toxic, marine-grade, metal sealant is recommended but not required. Without the protective layer, the birdbath will form a patina over time.
